Polarization-maintaining fiber array (PM-FA)

Polarization maintaining fiber array (PM-FA) is mostly used in coherent optical communication. Polarization maintaining fiber can keep the polarization state of light wave unchanged in the transmission process, and can give full play to the advantages of coherent reception. The polarization-maintaining fiber array uses a V-shaped groove (I. e. V-groove, V-Groove) to install a polarization-maintaining fiber ribbon on the array substrate, which can realize highly dense parallel transmission under the condition of ensuring the stability of light wave polarization.
