Lithium niobate (LiNbO3) electro-optical intensity modulator is fabricated by titanium diffusion or proton exchange process, which has the characteristics of low insertion loss, high modulation bandwidth, low half-wave voltage and high damage power. Mainly used in space optical communication systems, pulse generators, quantum optics and other fields.
